About Geoff Herguth Design

Geoff Herguth and Jessie Redlon create custom sculpture including mermaids, fish, sharks, crustaceans, dogs, birds, and a three dimensional representation of the Maine State quarter. GHD also fabricates decorative iron work, sculptural signage, furniture, and cabinetry and operates a commercial marine welding service providing custom boat building, repair and restoration. Geoff is a well known Maine artist, designer and craftsman. He is renowned for his artistic versatility and technical skill. Born and raised in Tarrytown, New York, Geoff attended Syracuse University and then earned an MFA in Sculpture at Arizona State University. Geoff has lived in Maine for nearly 4 decades. His work reflects his love of ocean life and is created with precise detail; rendering extraordinary representation of the subject. When he's not at the foundry or cruising Casco Bay, he can likely be found at the Commercial Street Pub.

Jessie Redlon has been flourishing as Geoff's apprentice for over 3 years. She is a quick study and a good friend who has helped Geoff grow his welding business with her talented assistance. Jessie lives in Portland and when she's not at the foundry, she enjoys fishing, building solid body wooden electric guitars, shooting one-handed pool, and watching horror movies.
