A 3-D rendition of the Maine state quarter featuring the schooner Victory Chimes
The three-masted schooner Victory Chimes is a US National Historic Landmark. Featured on the Maine state quarter and docked in Rockland, she is the last surviving schooner of her kind.
Geoff was commissioned to create this sculpture for winter display at Gepetto's- a Sugarloaf Mountain restaurant. At the end of ski season it would be mounted at the ship's port in Rockland. Tiger passed away and the sculpture's whereabouts is now unknown.
The incredibly detailed model includes sails made of powder coated aluminum sheets that are attached to the masts with brass rings. The hull is cast and welded aluminum.
